Sherryl Clark The massive tarantula crawled across his hand and up his arm, pausing to rest for a moment on his shoulder. Then it leapt at me
Sherryl Clark I'd love to live on the Yorkshire Dales and around the NE where some of my favourite crime novels are set (Vera series, books by Peter Robinson etc). I'd walk from coast to coast along Hadrian's Wall and imagine what it was like in Roman times (Vindolanda).
Sherryl Clark All the new crime fiction by favourite authors! Plus a friend has recommended "Sweet Sorrow" by David Nicholls. I've also got some interesting nonfiction lined up - "Uncertainty" by Jonathan Fields is one I've been saving.

Sherryl Clark Read first for enjoyment and then learn to read critically as a writer. Also read widely. And write a LOT until you find your voice and gain confidence.
Sherryl Clark The sequel to "Trust Me, I'm Dead" - it has had about three working titles! But I'm into second draft revisions so it's going OK (I think).
Sherryl Clark I often have an accountability partner - we set writing goals and try to inspire each other to write regularly and check in. If I'm stuck, a long walk helps, and if I need inspiration of a different kind, I go to the movies!
Sherryl Clark From an article that talked about a man who had died and left behind a tape of revelations that shocked his family and friends.
