Hi Michael,
Sorry for the late reply. Riftborn is 5 books, the last of which Murder of Crows should hopefully be out in the not too distant future.
Hope that helps

Hi John,
Apologies for the exceptionally late reply, I didn’t even realise that Goodreads had questions on here for me. I’m glad you’re enjoying the books. Since you read book 1, book 2 is out now, and book 3 will be out in September. I don’t know if there will be more after that, but I hope so as writing Miles and Church has been a lot of fun.
Thanks

Hi Andrew,
Unfortunately, at the moment, no there isn’t. However, seeing how I’ve been asked about it a few times in the last few days, it’s something I’ll be looking into sorting out.
Thanks
Steve

That would be nice. Hopefully one day.

Sorcery Reborn is out this November.

Nate's story isn't done, but there are no new Hellequin novels. Once Scorched Shadows finishes, the story continues on in the Avalon Chronicles, and then Nate is back for the Rebellion Chronicles. The first book of which is due out this Nov.
Steve McHugh
Thanks very much. I finished the first book and sent it to my publisher a month ago, so after edits, it should be out by the middle of next year. Hopefully, once the last Avalon Chronicles book is out, I'll have a better idea.
Steve McHugh
Hi John, I'm glad you enjoyed it. I do have some ideas for stories about other characters, but I probably won't get around to them until the Avalon and then Rebellion Chronicles are done.

Hi Rachel,
That's a bit weird. The correct order is:
Crimes Against Magic
Born of Hatred
(Infamous Reign the novella)
With Silent Screams
Prison of Hope
Lies Ripped Open
Promise of Wrath
A Glimmer of Hope (book 1 of the Avalon Chronicles)
Scorched Shadows
Hope this helps.

Hi Matt, Nate will be back in the series after the Avalon Chronicles, which is called Rebellion Chronicles. The Avalon Chronicles is a trilogy, yes.
This question contains spoilers...
(view spoiler)[When will we see the next book featuring nate and the rebellion??? (hide spoiler)]
Steve McHugh
The rebellion really starts in A Flicker of Steel, the second Avalon Chronicles book. Nate is back after the 3 Avalon books are done.
Steve McHugh
SS is the last Hellequin Chronicles book, which then goes to the Avalon Chronicles, and after that the next Nate series. So about the same number of books, but it wasn’t possible to do it all in 1 series.
Steve McHugh
Hi, Nate will be back once the 3 Avalon books are done.
Steve McHugh
Thanks very much, that's very kind of you. It's possible. I had some ideas for characters from there, but I haven't been able to work them in yet. Hopefully at some point, Nate will visit the place.
This question contains spoilers...
(view spoiler)[I've read 5 Hellequin books, and I'm currently reading the 6th. One thing I've been wondering since Nate shot Mordred; why aren't guns with silver bullets more prevalent? We've seen many times that elemental shields are only somewhat helpful against physical projectiles, so why aren't more people being Indiana Jones'ed, or even sniped? I mean, I get it from a storytelling perspective, but I can't get it to make sense! (hide spoiler)]
Steve McHugh
It's not a guaranteed kill (as it proves), and making a powerful sorcerer really angry by shooting them is probably not that smart for your life expectancy. Also, it's sort of just not done. It's one of those things that would be frowned upon. Guns aren't well liked by the majority of people who were born centuries before they became as widespread as they are today.
Steve McHugh
Thanks very much. Well, Hellequin is ending with 7, but it's not the end of Nate's story, so I'm sure I'll get pretty close to the original number of books.
Steve McHugh
Thanks for the kind words, although book 7 is the last Hellequin, it's not the last Nate, and people like Mordred will be playing a large people in the stories going forward.
Steve McHugh
Yes is the short answer. Book 6 has two new pantheons.
