Shadow, my graphic novel with Uwe Carow, should be out early in the new year, from Red Bug Books. It's a combination of two ideas I'd had floating around for a while - telling the story of the minor characters that pass through epic quests, and telling a story not through positive description, but through gaps.
The result is a story that follows in the footsteps of epic heroes - shown through the people and places they leave behind. When another writer suggested I have it illustrated, I found Uwe, and he took it far beyond that, to a true graphic novel.
