Before setting up our own publishing business (vike springs publishing ltf) to publish my books and that of other authors to date, I used CreateSpace and they did a horrible job on our second book. Which was co-authored. They messed up the editing hiring a very poorly educated person to supposedly edit our book. They had to refund the cost of the project to us.

I always set clear purpose and goals for each book project. These come with strict set timelines. And more importantly, I am always looking at the joy or solution my books will bring to the reader. That is my greatest inspiration.
