Nancy Warren Hi Kelsey, Honestly, I didn't know that there was a swift in knitting, but it really adds a little extra something. One of my ancestors was a swift and I really liked the name, so that's why I used it. Thanks, Nancy
Nancy Warren Hi Annika, Scallops and Sorcerers is out in audio now. There was a bit of a lag as I had to coordinate with the narrator, but we're all caught up. I'm working on book 3 of that series now. best, Nancy
Nancy Warren Hi Danielle, Game of Thorns is out now! I hope you enjoy it and thank you so much for the nice comment. I really need to write faster :) Best, Nancy
Nancy Warren Hi Hester, I am so sorry, I just saw this. Forgive me for taking so long. If I could change one thing about Lucy I would make her a better knitter. But then I'd have to become a better knitter as I use my own mistakes as hers. Thank you so much for the question. I love to think of you reading my books during high school. All my best, Nancy
Nancy Warren Hi Huntris, thanks for your nice message. I'm thrilled that you're enjoying the Vampire Knitting Club. Yes, it's fine to read the prequel out of order. It's Rafe's origin story, so it will add some info to the series but is about things that happened a long time ago. Hope this helps and thanks for reading me! Best, Nancy
Nancy Warren Hi Kelsey, sorry it took me so long to answer this. Since I knit as well as Lucy I didn't know when I started the series that a swift was a knitting term. In fact, Swift is a family name of one of my ancestors. In fact, Rafe Crosyer and Silence Buggins are both in my family tree too!! (though they probably aren't vampires.)
Nancy Warren Hi Paula, I plan my stories by getting to know my characters. The more I understand them the more I know how they'll react to certain situations. Plot comes from so many places. Things I read, places I visit, something I've experienced myself. Then I ask What if... When does the normal become unusual? What if I went to visit my grandmother and she was mysteriously missing... What if Bake-Off was run by witches... What if Oscar Wilde joined a book club... I love that part of my job. Thanks for asking.
Nancy Warren Hi Sharon, Let me put it this way. I knit like Lucy :) Most of her issues are ones I've encountered myself. I'm so glad you enjoyed VKC. best, Nancy
Nancy Warren Hi Aly, thank you so much. I'm so sorry I didn't see this question. Hope by now you've discovered Whisk and Reward? That's the last book in the series. They are now all in audio as well with the brilliant Hollis McCarthy narrating. Best, Nancy
Nancy Warren Hi Julie,

Thank you so much for the nice compliment! I'm an armchair traveller too. Let's see, the Vampire Book Club is set in County Cork in Ireland. I chose it because my grandmother is from County Cork. The Great Witches Baking Show series is set in Somerset not far from Bath, which is one of my favourite cities in the world. I did one historical mystery set in Paris, Death of a Flapper. I loved writing it but there's an incredible amount of research so I'm not sure when I'll get the second book done. Hope this helps. Best, Nancy
Nancy Warren Hi Donna, sorry for the delay in replying! Yes, I'm working on book 14 of the Vampire Knitting Club right now. I'm aiming for a September release. Thanks so much for asking. Best, Nancy
Nancy Warren Hi Sam, yes, you and your daughter can enjoy any of my paranormal cozy mystery series, so the Vampire Knitting Club, the Great Witches Baking Show, the new Village Flower Shop mysteries and the Vampire Book Club. What a fun thing to do with your daughter. Some of my earlier romances have sex in them, but I try to be very clear in the descriptions so you know what you're getting into. Hope this helps and happy reading! Nancy
Nancy Warren I lost touch with someone who meant a lot to me when I was young. I have often wondered about them, how are they doing? Where are they? What path did their life take? I think it could be fun to write a book about someone searching for an old friend/old flame and stumble onto a mystery.
Nancy Warren Hi Bea,

Yes, there will be more Vampire Book Club books. I wanted to go to Ireland for some research and the pandemic kept me away. I hope to go very soon as I'm plotting book 4 now. Thanks so much for asking.
Nancy Warren Hi Katrine, Yes, all 13 are now available in audio!! Yay!
Nancy Warren Hi Nina Rae, My web person is updating my website and moving it to a new server. She said to give it 24 hours at least before it's stable again. I'm so sorry. If you email me at nancywarrenbooks@gmail.com I'll sort you out. Best, Nancy
Nancy Warren I would request them from your library. That may be the best way to get hold of them. Unfortunately, because I'm an independent author, books don't automatically go into the library system, though I hear they are in a lot of libraries. Hope you prevail!
