Leana, sorry for the late reply, but I don't often visit GR anymore. Geoffrey is my current WIP. I'm hoping to debut his story in March.

Sorry for the late reply, but this question just popped up in my dashboard. In any case, right now the series will consist of five books, but there could be additional novellas for secondary characters.

Hello, MrsMascara! Thank you, so much for asking. Aristide is the next story in the Brethren Origins series, and it's almost finished. Hoping to get it published before the end of the year, but it could be January.

Charlene, in the current series, I've planned 10 books. Do the math--that means I have another Nautionnier Knight in the making. In the Brethren Origins series, there will be 5. But there are so many interesting historical periods between the Medieval and Regency eras that I have all sorts of stories envisioned.

I'm not sure I really suffer writer's block...knock on wood. When I'm struggling with a particular scene or character, I just step away from the keyboard and either watch a favorite movie or go shopping.

I enjoy the ambiguity and verbal texture of writing. I love the fact that I can share my personal triumphs and angst with the world, and yet no one knows what's real and what's make-believe. And I really love it when a reader contacts me to let me know they enjoyed something in particular, or that what I wrote touched them. That makes all the long nights worthwhile.

Write what you know and love, and don't let anyone stop you. And if the NY publishers don't want your work, then self-publish, and do it your way. It's incredibly satisfying.

I just completed the novella Loving Lieutenant Douglas, for a Fall release in the upcoming A Jewel In Time: A Sultry Sisters Anthology. It was my first novella, and I found it a different experience than writing long novels. And now I'm working on the edits for Captain of Her Heart, book 5 in the Brethren of the Coast series, which debuts in November.

Honestly, I write every day. Let me say that again, I write every day, probably because I don't know how NOT to write.

The broken leg my hero suffers in One-Knight Stand is based on my long recovery as a police officer injured in-the-line-of-duty. It was frustrating and painful, and I was a mess in more ways than one. I gave poor Lance all my anger and self-doubt.
