Chris Allen I have three projects on the go at the moment. The new Alex Morgan novel which I'm calling SHAPESHIFTER, a spy story for kids (which I'm working on with my son) and also the first in a new thriller series. So, it's a very exciting and creative time!
Chris Allen Just write. Don't get caught up in what everyone else is doing or how to set up your writing space. If you're series enough you'll write anywhere at anytime on pretty much anything - napkins, iPhone, (paper) notebook, computer etc etc. So...just write! PS And enjoy it :)
Chris Allen The ability to escape into a world that you alone have created and to develop the characters in that world as I see people evolving and developing in the real world. We all must learn form the lessons that life throws at us and I see that as very much the same basis for the development of my fictional characters. I love it.
Chris Allen Some times you just need a change of scenery. If I'm experiencing writer's block then I'll usually put the kettle on and make myself a strong cup of tea! If that doesn't work then I'll resort to music or maybe even get some work done on a different writing project! Thanks for your question. Best, Chris
Chris Allen To be perfectly honest I've returned to an old favourite to get my creative juices flowing - I'm currently reading Ian Fleming's GOLDFINGER. Incredible story telling. The book is just 222 pages long and Fleming doesn't reveal Goldfinger's criminal objectives to the reader (and Bond) until page 159. The build up, intrigue and suspense he builds around the antagonist is just first class. A must read for anyone who hasn't had the pleasure yet. Thanks so much for your question. Very best, Chris
