FATED LOVE will be released this September. I'm targeting the middle of the month, and I'm about 2/3 of the way through the main edits, then it goes to my proofreader. The cover has been ready for years. The delay was unavoidable, but I now have reshuffled editors, so that shouldn't happen again! I just want to mention that in December THE CHRISTMAS GIFT will also be released as a part of a larger project with other authors. It's Beverly and Christopher's empty nest story, and she is going to make him keep a promise he made to her while they were on their wedding trip. ;-)

Wonderful! The readers that have found my work have all been very receptive and gracious, it hasn't been a lot of readers yet. I'm just getting started with my Portuguese translations. As the series continues I hope to gather more readers who like what I write. I love what I do, and for me, the best part of writing romance is when I get a letter from a reader telling me they connected with a story I wrote in some way and that they loved it. That makes me cry happy tears!

I opened the door to the nursery, so proud that my three-month-old son finally slept through the night. I tiptoed to the crib, not wanting to disturb my son's sleep, and found it empty.

Hi Kim!
Yes... There are more... :-D (I wish I could figure out how to put my cover in here.)
So, just today I sent my editor the short story that will go into the boxed set that comes out in late October. That shorty will be free to my newsletter subscribers, and I'll also probably put it up as a freebie on the vendors well AFTER the boxed set is out. That short story is the set up to the next two FULL length books. The first one is FATED LOVE. I'm about halfway into the first draft, and I have the cover and will reveal it sometime in the next few days. That's the story of Isabel, Charlotte, and Penelope. Three heroines with three heroes.
Then there's Marcus' book, TO WALTZ WITH A DARK LORD. I do not have this cover yet, but I've already started this book.
I have some notes written down for Christopher's book as well, but might not start his until I go backward in time and write Harry's book (Amelia's brother.) I need to do his book because it's kinda pushing at the door, eager to get out.
But yes. I have plans to continue this family's journey for a little while longer.
AND.... This is going to sound crazy, but I have an issue with killing off some of the parents, though I know when I get to the grandchildren, I might have to (because they can't live forever!) And before you mention that I killed off Cav and Amelia, I have to say that I wrote Caversham's Bride first, several years ago, then wrote Miss Amelia Lands a Duke last year because readers wanted to know about Ren's background. In CB, his father was already dead, and that was already written. So I couldn't change that story. I wrote Miss Amelia around the constraints established in Caversham's Bride.
Keep an eye out for the next couple of days on either my website or social media. I'll do a cover reveal for the short story and the girls' book, sometime soon. :-D

Hi Emma!
I'm working on edits still, and I'm *hoping* sometime in February. But, there are other factors that I have no control over after I'm done with my edits--such as the schedule of my proofreaders and the formatter. So I really hope February.
The best way to not miss the release is to subscribe to the newsletter. I promise not to slam you with junk. You'll just get a note when the next books are out.
Thanks for asking!

I look at the bills. That's great inspiration! ;-)

I work in my pajamas, keep my own hours, and don't have to wear a bra. I'd say those three things are at the top of the list.

Learn the craft. Never give up. This isn't an easy business to get into, but if writing commercial fiction is in your blood it's the only thing that satisfies your soul.

Book Five of the Caversham Chronicles, and it's Isabel, Charlotte and Penelope's book. Three heroines, three heroes, one BIG wedding!

I have a HUGE vet bills and lots of hungry animals. If that isn't the kind of inspiration needed to work, I don't know what is!
If you're wondering about my routine, I go into the office, turn on my white noise or music, and turn on the desktop and get to work. I never end my night at the end of a scene, always in the middle. That makes it easier to get back into the story the next night. I reread what I wrote the night before and just.... start.

Loving Sarah and Lucky's Lady are my homage to the Tea Races or Clipper Races. I loved seeing the tall ships when I was a kid and I've been a tea drinker forever. The prints of famous ships under full sail racing back to England with their hulls low in the water, loaded with tea, were really fascinating to me. I could stare at them for a long time and stories would pop into my head--about the people on the ships, what ports the ships had visited, and where they were going. Anyway... The timing in the series was almost perfect (off by about 20 years or so,) and I already had the family import business already set up, so it was just a combination of timing, interest, and inspiration!
