I actually base much of my writing off of actual experiences in my life. I have been blessed or maybe cursed with a life filled with the strange, mysterious and paranormal since early childhood. I suppose the next book will be based on an experience I had as a child with a local legend of the Louisiana Bayou Region. A malicious spirit known as the Lutan which tempts young children to the murky waters in an attempt to drown them.

The House on Judith Street is inspired by actual events in my life. When I was in college, some friends and I went into an abandoned house with a very dark history. What we experienced in that house changed all of us forever.

Mostly I write about my own experiences and situations, so the inspiration comes from exploring life and the mysteries of life. I have never been one to enjoy a "normal" life. I enjoy adventure and mystery...also a bit of danger from time to time.

Currently I have several projects in the fire. My wife and I work together on most everything, and we are working on a screenplay adaptation of the first NightStalker book, The House on Judith Street. In addition to that, I am beginning work on the second installment of the NightStalker series - The Unhallowed.

I think the best thing about being a writer is that I get to live out so many worlds and experiences again. I always write about things that I have done, seen or know. It's exciting to re-live those memories and sometimes make them turn out a little different.

Whenever I get writer's block, I turn away from whatever I'm writing and spend time with my wife. We walk, talk or sometimes fuss, but it gets my mind off of the project and then when I come back to it, I have a fresh outlook and that usually clears up the blockage.
