What books are on your summer reading list this year?
R.J. Patterson Legacy of Lies (which I finished ... and was excellent) and The Eighth Sister by Robert Dugoni. I've been reading quite a bit of non-fiction too, including How to be an Anti-Racist by Ibram Kendi and The Third Option by Miles McPherson.

Why does Audible have Books 1-3 of the Brady Hawk series listed under "Jack Patterson?"
R.J. Patterson I used to write under that name but when I changed, it took a while for Audible to correct this. Turns out altering audiobook metadata isn't all that simple.

so, i have a question or two and here we go, i have read most of your stuff and am now coming to the end. enjoyed the maddux series and wondering if you are getting back to that? also a big fan of brady and now with the introduction of black in #15 and black getting his own series can i finish brady as such and then move on to the black series, or should i try and swap between the two or keep seperate?

I took a little bit of a break to develop the Titus Black series but I will get back to Maddux, especially since he's one of my favorite characters to write. ... You can swap back and forth between Black and Hawk. Their timelines intersect and the Titus Black series begins back when Firestorm was still in existence. ... I saw in the A Good Thriller group a sample of one of your books where you did research at the National Archives and I was wondering which archive it was? I work at one of the National Archives.
R.J. Patterson Hi Sabrina. Thanks for your question. I do all my archive research at the branch in College Park. I have a friend who works there as well who gives me tips on topics to search. Most of the information I gathered came from CIA papers buried in the Nazi War Crime collection.

What are you currently working on?
R.J. Patterson I'm currently working on "Seeds of War," the fourth book in the James Flynn thriller series. In February of 2016, I visited the Arctic to conduct research for the novel. And I'm so excited about this one!
