Sometimes I need to do something completely unrelated to writing, like watching a tv series, and then other times I'll step away from the story and read a book - that usually does the trick.

Being able to escape into a world of your own creation, and then seeing readers find the same escape in your story. It's incredibly humbling and satisfying at the same time.
