I am currently at work on the next, although there is no publish date set. My goal is late winter/early spring of 2016. That's over a year out, but really not too long in the book world. LOL
I still run a family business with my wife, and writing gets pushed to evenings or spare time. But I'm excited with the progress of the new title, and it should make a fine follow-up to First Night of Summer.

I try to help real-life people through my stories. Yes, my characters and plots are fiction, but much of what happens in my books really takes place. My purpose is to shed light on those things, and to provide an element of hope through difficult circumstances. Occasionally I will hear from a reader, confirming that they were touched or enlightened by my words, and that is all the inspiration I need. Do good for others, and inspiration will not be far behind.

Don't worry about trends. They come and go. If you truly want to be the best you can be, write what's important to you. Put your passion on paper. Then, and only then, will your words carry a deeper message than just the story. Find that deep inspiration...motivation...goal, and let it bleed.
