Nancy C. Weeks I try to write at least five days a week. There are day where my health issues keep this from happening. I struggle with kidney stones, and when a tiny sharp stone is making its way down, there is little I can to put words on the page. [I hope my readers understand]. But on my happy days, all I have to do is put on my playlist and my fingers just ache to be typing away on my laptop. Something about music touches my soul, and opens my mind and heart to imagine the impossible. I use different music for different scenes. Love scenes are all about the piano and cello. The suspense scenes, I tune into Keane or Coldplay. Of course, Keane and Coldplay could be tuned into in love scenes as well.
Nancy C. Weeks I'm currently working on the second book in The D'Azzo series called The Analyst. This will Tessa D'Azzo and Eric Logan's happily-ever-after.
Nancy C. Weeks Being a writer allows me, for a short time, to have complete control over the world I'm writing about. I create the type of characters I want in a story, and move them around like on chess board wherever I want them. That kind of absolute control doesn't exist in the real world. There are too many variables.
Nancy C. Weeks I guess I don't believe in writer's block. I have written myself into a wall, and there is no place to go from there. At that point, I go backwards and find where I lost the conflict. Also, if I really know my characters, and the world I have developed, there are endless possibles to explore.
