Hi, I read The American Girl and Going Back and loved them. But why does the female main characters get most of the blame for things gone wrong if not all? I think they are victims of circumstances and other people's plotting and conspiracies. In my opinion it is men's societies that blame women for as much as possible. In these books, women even accept the blame. Best wishes, Bridget
