Shannon Celebi I don't subscribe so much to inspiration as I do to perspiration. Writing is hard work and I do it every single day, come hell or high water, because I know from firsthand experience that it becomes more fluid with practice and perseverance.
Shannon Celebi I have two novels in the works right now which I am excited to share with you in the very near future.
Shannon Celebi I know it's been said by some of the greats, but it certainly holds true--write a lot and read a lot--but it is also helpful to feel a lot too, to acknowledge your emotions as they happen, good or bad, so you will be able to articulate them fluidly when you sit down at the keyboard.
Shannon Celebi The best thing about being a writer is being able to connect with my readers. Writing is a solitary business. It’s just you and your characters and a blank page you need to fill. Knowing that your work is touching someone, making them think in new ways, and bringing something different to their world, is a feeling I cannot, even as a writer, begin to articulate.
Shannon Celebi If I ever have writer's block, I know there's something going in in my life that I need to fix, so I try to take a good hard look at what is going on around me, figure out which issues I'm dealing with, then try to write that issue right out of my system.
