Drop the "aspiring." If you're researching the craft, putting in the work, and taking any opportunity you can to be a writer, start by giving yourself the credit. Tell yourself you are a writer and you are going to finish that project. Then do it. Taking the first step is about getting your head and motivation in the right place and following through.
