Nancy Young I'm working on a screenplay for Strum.
Nancy Young I just finished my second manuscript for a novel titled: The Heart of Kala Pattar. Like Strum, my first novel, it is a global tale of love and loss across time and continents. This expansive tale takes a brilliant young Sherpa lad, who is also a Buddhist monk, from the highest peaks of the Himalayas to fulfill his promise in the lowest lands of the Outback. He is sent there by a Harvard med school drop-out who finds her purpose again by using her father's inheritance to help the monk who she believes is the key to Nepal's future. Meanwhile, the mysterious origins of an old hermit living near the top of Mt. Everest, takes the reader on a journey from China's Last Emperor, to a Film Festival in Sonoma. I am currently seeking a traditional publisher.
Nancy Young Strum was inspired by a guitar that "spoke to me." I bought it and found a small brochure that read: "We never cut down a tree to make our guitars; all Seagull guitars are made from 800 year old cedars that fall naturally in the forests of Quebec." Awww... what stories an 800 year-old tree could tell!

Nancy Young Hi Barb, thank you so much for your Kind words! It’s always such a pleasure to receive positive feedback. I’m so glad you enjoyed Strum. I haven’t been asked to post the Family Tree before so have not uploaded it to my website: nmcyoung.com. Or if you prefer to send me your email to nmcyoung@gmail, I can send it to you directly.

Best,
Nancy
