D.K. Holmberg Several of the series share a world, but can be read separately. Shared worlds:

The Teralin Sword (comes before) The Lost Prophecy
The Endless War is set thousands of years before The Cloud Warrior Saga
The Dark Ability, Shadow Accords, and The Sighted Assassin all share a world and characters, but are quite separate.
D.K. Holmberg It was written as 3 novellas following Elle, a character introduced in book 2, so can be read any time after book 2.
D.K. Holmberg Sorry for not seeing this before now! The Dark Ability series would also be great for teen boys. He might also like the Endless War series, which is set in the same world (only much earlier). Thanks again for reading!
D.K. Holmberg The Endless War is set in the same world as the Cloud Warrior Saga, but over a thousand years prior. Both can (and are meant to be) read separately without needing to have read the other. Thanks for reading!
D.K. Holmberg I've always loved books, and have been a fantasy fan for as long as I can remember, but it wasn't until a close friend of mine told me he had written a book that I started to think that I could try my hand at writing. That first novel took about 10 years, and sits at about 250,000 words. Sometime in the next year, I intend to revisit that novel, and hope to release it to the world because I love the world and the history I created while writing it, and think that others will really enjoy it as well.
D.K. Holmberg I have two new series. One is a prequel series set a thousand years before the Cloud Warrior saga, and the other is set in the world of the Forgotten. Both are so much fun to write and I can't wait to get them out to readers over the next few months!
D.K. Holmberg Never think you can stop learning. There are always things to learn, whether it's from other writers, editors, or even fans making comments, it's always important to strive to improve. And keep at it. You can't be a writer if you don't write.
D.K. Holmberg I love writing, and the entire process of creating, so writing has always been a great fit for me.
D.K. Holmberg I make a point of writing each day. I have multiple projects going at one time, so if I'm struggling with one, I work on another. Getting into the habit of writing every day was the best thing for me. Writing is like exercising in that way; if you do it daily, it's easy to keep it up, but once you stop, it's also easy to start making excuses why you don't need to write that day.
