Barb Drozdowich Sometimes this is something that can be done through the Amazon order record, but often it is easier to just call Amazon customer service and ask for the new version to be pushed.

As your excellent book was written several years ago, do you have any short bit of new advice about navigating Goodreads as an author that you can share?
Barb Drozdowich I'm just doing the final edits for the newest version of this book. My information hasn't changed a lot. Self-serve advertising has gone away and the giveaways are pretty pricy but I still like Goodreads for networking functions - joining groups, reading challenges and using the shelving system to raise the visibility of books from author groups, etc. I still don't see Goodreads as the hard sell place, but a great way to put your books in the best light and network with other readers. As soon as I announce the release of the new version, you can bet it pushed to your kindle if you want.

Would your book 'Newsletters That Rock' be helpful for fiction writers as well?
Barb Drozdowich yes - but it is only one piece of the "Newsletter/Mailing List" puzzle. IMHO

The blurb says "This book and video course will demonstrate how to create a robust presence [on Goodreads]" --but for the life of me I can't find the video course, in the ebook or anywhere else. I think I am missing something obvious, but where?

Barb Drozdowich All my books come from questions or suggestions from other authors.

Barb Drozdowich I don't really - but I do typically have to schedule in writing time!

Barb Drozdowich I am currently working on the idea of a 'How to network' book.

What’s your advice for aspiring writers?
Barb Drozdowich Get vetted help. Typically the loudest person in a group is incorrect so look for the person who has actually done what you want to do - or join a group of experienced authors who collectively have 'seen it all.'

What’s the best thing about being a writer?
Barb Drozdowich From my point of view, being a writer allows me to help lots of people. My teaching tends to focus on one person or smaller groups. My books can be purchased by anyone in any country.

How do you deal with writer’s block?
Barb Drozdowich I don't frequently face writer's block - but I do struggle over the best way to describe things - or actions. I find that if I explain something out loud to an imagined audience, I can find the right words.
