Even if it kills me, I'm tackling the pile of books accumulating on my nightstand. All books that have been passed on to me and recommended by the loner. So, my hit list for this summer currently includes Atlas Shrugged by Ayn Rand, Leaving Time by Jodie Picoult, Shanghai Girls by Lisa See and Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen.
My editor said my new book Keeping Claudia has strong Pride and Prejudice feel to it. Though I've seen the 2005 movie with Keira Knightley, I'm embarrassed to admit, I've never read the book!

I'm working on my 4th novel, Girl Fight! It's a story about a small town's first female wrestler who is pressured to take an MMA fight against her ex's new girlfriend to save her family's home. She's trained by her former high school coach's son — a guy she has unfinished business with. He's going to hold her feet to the fire, push her past what she believes she's capable of, and reawaken the attraction she once felt for him all over again. This time, though, it will be finished.
