Andretta Schellinger From a good author I know; Everyone has at least one story inside them. Do it, so you may not make it a full time job and be able to live off the royalties, but who knows what may happen if you stop listening to people who tell you that you should stop dreaming, or that you don't have enough time in the day. Write 100 words a day, write 1000.

Do what you love, no matter what it is, and you will be happier in the long run, and honestly while money is good, we only have one life, and being happy should rate pretty high up there.
Andretta Schellinger Meeting people and working at my own pace. I am the type of person who works well with my own deadlines and schedules, not someone else's. So for me it really helps to be able to write at 7am or 7pm, whenever the drive hits me. Sometimes I am not able to write, and so I will make notes on whatever is available, or voice record myself on my phone.
Andretta Schellinger Take a break, talk to my co-writer, and do some reading/blogging has always helped me. I write non-fiction by myself, but I write fiction under a pen name with my brother. A partnership really helps both of us be more accountable and push each other to do great things.
Andretta Schellinger I just finished up the first draft of a zombie-esque novella. I am currently working and final edits for a couple of short stories, one about an alternate reality, specifically dealing with the Red Baron, and a horror short about a genetic lab. In the works is a full-length zombie-esque story to go with the novella, a story about the Japanese nuclear reactor incident, and a book demon.

On the non-fiction side, I am working on a book that spotlights 13 troops who died during WWI from one county and that have a replica of Stonehenge dedicated to their honor.
Andretta Schellinger I wish I knew... Sometimes I am very inspired, and other times I don't want to write at all. I do get inspired when I am working on something and it is finally coming together, that pushes me to work on it more.

For ideas, many things both external and internal inspire me to write. I have five started books that I had to get it out before I forgot it.
Andretta Schellinger My most recent book was inspired by a local national monument. I think that it is important to understand history, and not only the nuts and bolts but the people behind the history.
