Colin Knight Hi Lisa,
Thanks for the question. Some definitions focus on the authors desire to retain artistic freedom and control of their creations. While this is true, for me being an ‘indie’ or independent author means:
A literary agent does not represent me; I don’t have a publisher; an editorial board; a continuity coach; a marketing and advertising department; a publisher supported beta reading group; a research support person; or any support except my family.
Like many, many others authors, I am a one-person operation who takes the original story idea from concept all the way to finished product.
Don’t get me wrong, I would be very happy to have all the support that a mainstream traditionally published author has so that I could concentrate on the writing part! And one day, with better writing, better stories and a good slice of luck, I hope to be one.
Thanks and I hope you enjoy Murderous Acts.

Regards
Colin
Colin Knight Hi Lisa, thanks for your interest in my books and I'm glad you have a chance to read Murderous Acts. It is quite different from Escape From Prague and is my first attempt to include a child as a main character. I'd be interested in your insights about Robbie's character and his relationship with David.
Many thanks for posting the Escape From Prague review on Amazon - it is incredibly helpful as Amazon reviews for indie authors like myself are very difficult to obtain.
Thanks and look forward to hearing from you.
Cheers
Colin

Colin Knight Book three: Wilson`s Way – Bad Analysis: An ‘old school’ intelligence analyst races to solve an international terrorist plot to kill 70,000 people while the intelligence community is looking the wrong way.
Colin Knight Keep expectations real; don`t give up; and expect to be poor.
Colin Knight Freedom to create, experiment, and to work when I feel like it.
Colin Knight The key to ‘unblocking’ is to do something physical to get the mind off the problem. I either play squash, soccer, or go to the gym. Occasionally, I take a cold beer, sit in the hot tub and remind myself how lucky I am to have such an insignificant problem - and then I get on with it!
