I'm getting ready to publish (in July) my new book, Badass Parenting: Prepare Your Kids to Deal with Danger without Scaring the Hell Out of Them. This book is an edgy, funny, irreverent guide for parents of kids from birth to age 9 about how to teach them to avoid bullies and other predators, and handle themselves in dangerous situations. I'm REALLY lucky. Because I'm a trained photojournalist and write non-fiction, I rarely get stuck. When I do, I just don't try to force it. I don't write according to a set schedule, preferring to write as the mood strikes me. That being said, I can literally just sit down at any time and bang out several thousand words at one sitting.
