Katrina Abbott Hi Jana, this is a great question! I've never actually given it much thought considering what happens with Brooklyn after her encounter with Tristan. But I doubt I will continue on or add to his story. I imagine he has a very happy ending of his own, though, so hopefully that helps. ;)
I am writing the stories of some of the other Westwood boys that you've already met. I hope you check them out, starting with Striking a Pose.
Katrina Abbott Hi Shivangi, thanks so much for reading Taking the Reins! I'm so glad you loved it. Masquerade is available everywhere that Taking the Reins is, so you should be able to get a copy. It's not free, but writing and selling books is how I make my living, so I can't give them all away. I hope you understand. :)

Katrina Abbott Hi Zara! I'm so glad you're enjoying the books! I can't give up spoilers about the books (as in if Brooklyn and Brady will end up dating) but I can tell you that the next book in the series, Hitting the Target (Hitting the Target out in August but available for pre-order now) is Brooklyn's book and I know you're going to love it. Have you read Acting Out? That one is out now and if you haven't read it, you're going to want to catch up before continuing on.

Thanks for your note and I hope you continue loving the books!
xoxo

Katrina Abbott Hitting the Target will be available soon for pre-order (release in August). As for the books after that, probably November or December for the next. Beyond that, it all depends on the writing. :)
Katrina Abbott No problem, Sam! Thanks so much for reading the books! :)
Hitting the Target should be up for pre-order within the next couple of weeks. The best way to hear when it goes live is to sign up for my newsletter - I share release info and bonus stuff there. You can sign up here: http://eepurl.com/NljKX
Thanks!

Katrina Abbott Hi Rebekah, thanks so much for your question! It really depends what your objective is. If you want to write for the joy of writing, you can write whatever you like and never have to finish anything! But if you want to write for publication, the hard answer is that you have to finish. Ask yourself why you don't finish - is it because you are bored or you aren't sure where your story is going? If you understand the reasons why you can't finish, that might help you. Maybe you need to make outlines and plot your stories beforehand. Or perhaps force yourself to focus on one story and see it through, no matter what. It doesn't have to be perfect, either - some people can't finish because they don't feel their stories are good enough and they stop working on them, but you can edit later, just get that first draft done and worry about fixing it down the road. Getting the words down is the most important thing to a first draft, because you can't edit a blank page!

I hope that helps and good luck with your writing!

Katrina Abbott There's so much I love about writing fun rom-coms and The Rosewood books are SO fun to write, but I think one of the best things is creating my own swoony book boyfriends and then sharing them with readers. :)

(This question was asked by a fan on FB)
Katrina Abbott I think I've always known I wanted to be a writer! Back when I was a kid, I was always writing stories (especially very romantic stories about boys and girls getting together and falling in love) and making my friends read them. Luckily, they seemed to like them. ;)

Great question, Sequoia! Thanks!
Katrina Abbott Hot shower, hot coffee, hot date--something to get my mind off it and eventually, things will sort themselves out.
Katrina Abbott Working in yoga pants!
Also, creating worlds I'd love to live in and sharing them with others. Making other people smile with my stories is THE most gratifying thing ever.
Katrina Abbott Read a lot and work hard at your craft. Meet other writers and support each other--it's a tough business, so build a good support system.
Katrina Abbott I'm just finishing up the fourth book in The Rosewoods Series called READING BETWEEN THE LINES, which is Brooklyn's third book in the series. It took a bit of a surprising turn at the end, so I'm really excited to share it with readers at the end of July!
Katrina Abbott I find coffee very inspiring, but most of the time, I just sit down and force myself to write. Writing is work and if I waited until I was truly inspired to before I started, I'd never get anything done other than the odd haiku.
