Seth Chambers Fictional universes are great to read about but it would suck to actually go to one. For instance, people think it would be peachy to go to the Star Trek Universe, but consider this: Only a tiny, tiny minority of people would ever make it aboard a starship. Far more likely, you'd be one of hundreds of thousands working in some factory to build the damn things.

But to answer the question, I'd hop on over to the Game of Thrones/Song of Ice and Fire universe. Sure, why not? Maybe attend a wedding while I'm there.
Seth Chambers As of this writing, my most recent book is The Different Kinds Of Monsters, and it was born from my lifelong fascination with dinosaurs and a sort of vision I kept having of being pursued across the country by a giant predator from the distant past. Monsters has a lot of semi-autobiographical material in it, maybe too much for comfort in places, and the more I wrote the more images bubbled up from the depths of my subconscious.
Seth Chambers First, I have to say that if I waited around for inspiration I probably wouldn't get much done. But, that aside, a good bike ride usually gets my creativity flowing.
Seth Chambers Getting a handle on the business and promotion side of my craft so that it stops absorbing all my writing time and energy. Also working on finishing up a bunch of incomplete short stories that have been gnawing at me. Having too many "open loops" can be draining.
Seth Chambers Find something else to do with your life, my friend. Get out now before it's too late!
Seth Chambers Oh, that's easy: those glorious times when I am absolutely ON FIRE with creativity and the ideas, images, adrenaline and words just flow.
Seth Chambers How do I deal with writer's block? Often badly, that's how! On the other hand, I sometimes produce some of my best stuff on those days when I just REALLY DO NOT WANT TO WRITE, but do it anyway. It's a matter of overcoming inner resistance.
