Yes, when I was a little girl, I created stories and told them orally. That was before I could spell. Once I started writing, I couldn't stop. So, yes, I knew I wanted to be an author.

I've been writing and creating stories ever since I was little. It's a part of me, like breathing. I have notebooks filled with stories. I decided to finally publish back in 2013.

Ooh, this is a toughy. I've read so many great books with romantic couples in them. So, I think I'll do a top 5. These couples all get my vote for #1:
1- Mr. Darcy/Elizabeth Bennett– Pride and Prejudice is one of favorite books. I love how their romance first starts off as disdain and then blossoms to romance.
2- George Knightley/Emma Woodhouse– Another Jane Austen gem that shows what happens when you play matchmaker to everyone but yourself. I love Emma because she has the best intentions for her friend, Harriet, even at the expense of her own happiness. George Knightley, on the other hand, is in love with Emma but doesn’t know how to express his feelings. Their romance makes my heart beat fast and I swoon. Also free on Kindle.
3- Nicholas Stafford/Dougless Montgomery– A Knight in Shining Armor is a time-travel romance that truly speaks to those who believe in destiny and soul mates. I love this book because it is both modern-day and historical. Every woman secretly wants a knight in shining armor to rescue them and that is exactly what happens here. I re-read this book and smile as I realize I have my own knight in shining armor aka MR N.
4- Luke Brandon/Rebecca Bloomwood– Confessions of a Shopaholic is one of those fabulous contemporary romance books that can’t be put down. I love how fate keeps intervening and without even knowing it, Rebecca is head over heels in love. Luke is a mystery to even the reader in the beginning but I love how he cares for her.
5- Riley Parrish/Tanzy Harrington– Opposites attract and in this contemporary romance, we discover that Riley is not who he first appears to be. He is not a sheep but a full-blown wolf in The Big Bad Wolf Tells All. Tanzy is like me, doing her own thing and loving every minute of it. Love blows her over and before she can recover, someone tries to kill her.

My favorite character is Lisbeth from Princess of the Light. I had such fun writing her: skanky, bad and delightful. There's more to her than just being the thorn in Mary's side. She's got depth and ambitions. She wants to rule all humankind on Earth... and make all of us pay.
It was MR N's idea to bring a sort of humanness to her in the final battle. She loves another demon, which is forbidden in Hell. She's tired of being second fiddle to Than and Lucifer so she takes matters into her own hands.
I won't reveal more as it would ruin the book. You'll have to read Princess of the Light to find out everything.

I am writing book two in the Princess of the Light series and also a mystery short story about an editor found dead and the only suspect is one of her author clients.

I first got inspired to write Princess of the Light one chilly morning back in 2012. It was a cold wintry morning and I was walking to the grocery store. I happened to look across the street and what I saw made me stop in my tracks. A homeless man was sitting on a curb next to the gas station. He wasn't holding a sign or asking for money. His eyes were closed and his head was uplifted to the sky. There was such a contented and happy look in his weathered face. It took my breath away.
I wondered to myself how he got to be homeless and if there was some way I could help him. I continued on with my day but my thoughts were filled with him and his plight. Could I help him? Who is he?
As the days and months passed, I saw him every day. He kept to himself and never begged for money. He walked. Yes, he walked the length of the town. Every time I saw him, I nodded and said good morning. The simple act of kindness didn't seem like a big deal to me but to him, it was as if I had given him the sun. I started leaving food and clothing for him. The more kindness I showed, the happier he appeared.
I knew in my heart it was my calling to tell his story. He isn't some nameless face; he's someone's son, brother, grandson, uncle, father, husband, and/or friend. If I had the power, I would be his protector and free him from the darkness keeping him prisoner. He would no longer be the forgotten man.
I made a promise to myself to donate part of the proceeds to food banks if my book got published. I am keeping my promise and through my marketing, people are donating to food banks on their own.
