Hi Theresa,
I'm currently in the final stages of book three. It should be published any day now. After I complete a book from the Galaxy Dog series I like to take a break and write something else, but then I always come back to continue the story. I think there will eventually be a lot of books in the series, perhaps enough to rival the 13 works in the classic Stainless Steel Rat series by Harry Harrison.

I'm hardly an expert, and all of my books are self-published and none of them are exactly setting the best-seller lists on fire, but my advice would be to just start, make mistakes, and do your best to learn from them and fix them later.

Sometimes, when a story is really flowing, and it is surprising you even as you hammer at the keyboard, it is more like reading a book, rather than writing one. When this rare state happens, it's like reading a book that you know nobody has ever read before.

I force my fingers onto the keys, whether there is an idea in my head or not. I think it is better to write "something" even if it later gets heavily edited or thrown out, rather than stare at the white page.
