Sarah Greyson Inspiration comes from the inside for me. There isn't one particular thing I can point to and say that it was my inspiration. I always knew I wanted to write. So I sat down one day and wrote biographies for my characters. The story grew based on the characters. So my characters inspire and drive my stories.
Sarah Greyson Sit down and outline your story first. Once you have your major scenes, writing the details will flow out of you. If you know where you are going, it makes it much easier to get there.
Sarah Greyson I am currently writing the second book in "The Unit" series titled "Stronger." I am 75% of the way complete. Look for it to be published late September.
Sarah Greyson The best thing about being a writer is getting to create a fictional world and then care for and nurture your characters through said world. My characters become part of me. I live with them. Sounds scary, but they talk to me in a sense. When I write, my characters are living and breathing people who help me create the story. Sometimes I think I know where I am going with a scene and by the end of the scene, the characters have taken it in a totally different direction. Living with my characters is the best part!
Sarah Greyson I have always loved reading. I have read some fantastic books and some really awful books. One day in January, I read a really awful book and thought I could definitely craft a better story. I sat down to write and didn't come up for air until my first book "Closer" was finished. Now, I am writing book two and almost done!
