Yes, I really need to print a reading order guide which is now below! First things first though...you can read the series out of order, but here are my recommendations.
The Cloud Riders Trilogy (I've just got the rights back and will be republishing them over the next three months.
(1) Cloud Riders
(2) Breaking Storm
(3) Eye of the Storm
The Earth Song Series
(0) The Signal (a free novella on the Kindle or paid paperback. You can also get it by signing up to my newsletter).
(1) Earth Song
(2) Earth Cry
(3) Earth Shout
(4) Earth Howl
(5) Earth Yell
(6) Earth Scream
(7) Earth Roar
The Fractured Light trilogy
(1) Fractured Light
(2) Fading Light
(3) Death of Light
The Inflection Point Series (The first latest book in the Multiverse Chronicles will be released in June).
(1) Inflection Point
As I said, don't worry about starting with Fractured Light as all the series link together and were always written by me to be read out of sequence. I basically have the next ten years of books planned out in the Multiverse Chronicles! If you love an epic overarching story line, keep an eye out for them!
I hope this helps. :)
Very best wishes,
Nick

Hi Boris,
Sorry for the glacially slow answer to this! As you can probably guess I'm rarely on Goodreads!
Anyway, to answer your question I think the whole modern invention of the YA category is a complete distraction. Cloud Riders was always written as a crossover book aimed at everyone certainly not just a YA audience. The real problem is that it can sometimes put off older readers. This type of categorisation really doesn't do anyone any favours and I suspect was originally a marketing idea dreamed up somewhere to try and sell more books. I say that unless the book is specifically aimed at teens it should be put in the same categories as sci-fi in the case of Cloud Riders. I hope that belatedly answers your question.
Best wishes,
Nick

Hi Chris,
Indeed it is! The next book Earth Yell is almost finished and is just waiting for Chloe the voice actor to get over a cold before the final edits are completed. It will then be submitted to ACX/Audible and that usually takes six weeks for them to approve. Work meanwhile will then start on the next book. I'm hoping to get production sped up for the final books and release them just a few months apart next year. Thank you for your patience.
Best wishes,
Nick

Read everything, watch documentaries, pursue the habit down the rabbit hole! I have notebooks filled with ideas for books, but I only end up writing the stories that keep on nagging me to be written. Never go with first idea, only the best ideas are worth pouring your energy into.

This is an easy one...never, ever give up. In the publishing world tenacity is going to be one of your key strengths. Get feedback and challenge your own assumptions about your work. Is it really the best it can be? Be hard on yourself and push your writing to be its very best. That's actually part of the joy of being an author.

I have just finished a book in my new Fractured Light trilogy and sent it off to my editor yesterday. This new series has been many years in the making, because in many ways it's taken me that long to understand what story it needed to be. But now at last I do and I'm very happy with the latest results.
