Susan Ward I'm glad to answer. I actually enjoy the diverse reactions readers have toward my characters. I do realize in advance that if someone isn't reading the entire Saga they might form entirely different reactions to the later characters introduced, than say, someone who has read all thirty books. And my writing is by design always true to the characters and thereby providing a different reader experienced based on where in the Parker Saga they start reading. It makes the collection sort of interactive, like a video game, pick storyline A over storyline B to start with, and the experience is different. At least, that's what I'm hoping for. Thank you again for your question.
Susan Ward Sorry Mary. I'm behind releasing the books. The Next Graham Carson book is going to be All In....it releases later this summer. Thank you for asking about when the next Graham Carson book is releasing.
Susan Ward One of the central features of my books is to inspire tolerance. Graham Carson is a favorite character among my readers after reading the books in the Sand & Fog Series. I don't always write likeable characters or cookie cutter behavior or formula stories. Additionally, in order to get a 360 view of my characters you need to read all the books in the Saga as they cross over into different storylines and this provides readers a chance to get to know the characters from how others see them often before I introduce them. But I create characterization true to life. The person we see, often is very different internally than who we think they are, just as I am and you are, and pretty much everyone. My own way through my art to say, be less judgemental, intolerant of others in this world we live in. We don't always know what they're going through, what goes on inside them, and what they're life has been. And the whole measure of a character I've built seldom can be known without reading all the books. And in spite of Graham's flaws, vanity, and complexity, I wrote a book about him because I like him. Messy and imperfect and wonderfully him.
Susan Ward Sorry to take so long to answer your question. Alan Manzone is my favorite character. He's in all the Sand & Fog Books, and he's wonderfully him even aging with all the children. In the future there will be a new series BEFORE HER. And there will be three books in the series. Alan Manzone, Neil Stanton, and Jesse Harris. I hope you enjoy this. I'm not sure yet if I'll finish the Parker Saga with an older POV of Alan. But I might. I never know what will develop out of this family. Thank you for asking.
Susan Ward Wow. So sorry not to answer sooner. I didn't your question in my dashboard. Thank you for telling me you've read with all Parker Saga books and have enjoyed them. Ethan is done, I'm waiting for the upload file, and should be released right after 4th of July. I hope you like Ethan. I've done something I think it quite different with his story, but it was fun to write.
Susan Ward I'm finishing now!!!!And I'm loving it. It will be available for preorder in a few weeks, but if you are curious about Graham and Leland...read The Girl in the Mirror, because Graham has a very nice cameo role in that book and it takes place 10 years later than the Locked & Loaded Series....fun, huh? I love him in my new books.
Susan Ward Not expanding. Lots of authors use Instagram , Pinterest, etc...but I can barely keep up with what I've got and write. I don't use an assistant to manage my social media. When you get something from me, it's from me :-)
Susan Ward The Girl in the Comfortable Quiet is live. It's out, it's out, it's out! It released on my birthday July 13th. I hope you enjoy. dear.
Susan Ward I'm not famous, sweetheart. I'm just a girl from the beach who likes to write. I never think about anything but "the writing." I write every day. Something. I love the work.
