Rocking in the fetal position . . . Nah not really - Okay maybe a little.
I like to run. It clears my mind and helps me process. I'm a big reader so that helps too. Talking with special people . . . again with the rocking and sobbing . . .any ideas i'd love to hear your suggestions.

Setting my own hours, being able to work around my family. Getting lost in my imagination. Though at times it's feels like a selfish indulgence.
Challenging myself is a big one. I have Dysgraphia (it's kinda like Dyslexia only less cool), so writing - especially getting the words and letter in the right order - can be difficult at times, but i like that I'm pushing out of my comfort zone.

Keep writing, No matter what people say, Just keep going.
Choose your mentors and your support group wisely and ignore the negative stuff because there is always going to be some.
Someone told me that ' If you're having a bad day still write something, 500 - 1000 words is better than nothing, even if you end up deleting them all.' and i do. And sometimes i even end up surprised with what i find.
And above all else, Keep Writing.

I am currently writing the sequel to 'Maggie's 5'. Both books are stand alones, so there are no cliff hangers. Maggie's 5 is basically Maggie's story through her eyes, but while i was writing it i realized i wasn't giving out many details about the very lovely and very sweet Luke and thought, 'Huh, i wonder what Luke's story is about.' I began writing and so far it is nothing like i imagined it would be. I've added a teaser to the end of 'Maggie's 5' to introduce you to him.
Guess what it's going to be called? Yep. 'Luke's Five'
I am also re-writing another manuscript. At the moment I'm calling it 'All or Nothing.' It is absolutely nothing like these other two. Far more angst and Rock and Roll. A little sexy time and there may be some booze involved, possibly some other stuff too . . . I'm really excited about it.

With this book and my first manuscript - which i hope to have ready to go by next year - I couldn't sleep at night. Don't judge (just yet :)) I had images running through my head like a movie reel and couldn't get them to stop. So I'd toss and turn and drive my husband nuts. It got to the point where Husband said "Will you just write it all down already so i can get some sleep. Please."
I wrote for three months flat out. Got the idea for Maggie's 5 during this time, so i kept on writing. Then read it- decided it wasn't bad but not pretty either and started re-writing. Gave it to a few friends, very kind family members, and the very Lovely Heather in my writing group, got some feedback, it didn't suck or crush me and . . . Tadah. Here we are.

I was writing my first full manuscript and i thought 'Hey, wouldn't it be interesting to explore the grieving process of a woman after she looses her family' Then I thought . . . 'Man that sounds so bad', I wonder if i could turn it into a smexy romance and not a 'wrap myself up into the fetal position and rock back and forth balling my eyes out' story.
Then the name 'Maggie' popped in my head and I knew there are traditionally 5 stages of grief. And just like that the name was born - Maggie's Five.
