Alex Woolf It's a historical mystery story called The Shakespeare Plot: Assassin's Code. I wanted to marry the world of Shakespeare with the sinister world of spies and plots. I did some research and discovered a plot against Queen Elizabeth I in 1601 that indirectly involved Shakespeare and his acting troupe, the Lord Chamberlain's Men. That sparked the idea for this story.

Alex Woolf Volume 3 of my Shakespeare Plot series.
Alex Woolf Planning is very important. Plot the story out scene by scene before you start. When writing a scene, imagine you’re actually there. Then try to find the words to describe what you see, hear and smell. Find a way of pacing the story so the suspense is drawn out for as long as possible.
Alex Woolf Plotting; finding the perfect words to express an idea; seeing characters come to life; editing; finishing a story. They're each a joy in their own way.
Alex Woolf I've been fortunate enough never to be afflicted by this.
Alex Woolf Elizabeth Bennett and Mr Darcy from Pride and Prejudice. I just really enjoy how her feelings about him fight with each other through the book, and how when his true character emerges near the end, the love they obviously feel for each other is allowed to ignite.
