Lock Creek is romantic/mystery/suspense. It is a love story, but as you go along, there are a lot of "surprises" that get revealed. It is popular with both men and women. So, it's not your "typical romance novel." Thank you for asking, Sophia!

Step away, or go back to the last place it was "right." I've had to delete entire chapters to get the story back on track. But, I've also solved days of writer's block by doing something as simple as making a word plural so it works. After days of being "stuck," I added an "s" and I was off and running again. You just have to find where you lost yourself.

The fact that it becomes completely acceptable to dream up an entire world, filled with fictitious people, that do crazy things. Then, you get emotionally attached to these characters, and people understand. You're not "weird" because you have invisible people doing anything in your head at any given moment. Instead, people can't wait to see what you just dreamed up. It's so amazing!

Trust yourself and believe those words were given to you for a reason. It's your story to tell and don't let anyone talk you out of it. Smile, instead, and encourage them to write their own book.

Mostly Lock Creek: Time of Death. But, I also have another project on the side that interrupted me and wouldn't quit until I wrote most of that one. So, sometime down the road, there will be a stand alone book too.
