I write my Blog daily. I sit at my laptop and ask myself - What have I learnt over the past 24 hours from Life? And then the answer, my Blogpost for the day, simply flows through me.

My Book "Fall Like A Rose Petal - A father's lessons on how to be happy and content while living without money" is based on the "True Story" of my Life. In end-2007/early-2008, my wife Vaani and I were staring at the bankruptcy our tiny boutique consulting Firm. Being first-gen entrepreneurs and coming from non-business, middle-class, backgrounds, the bankruptcy affected our family too. We were left with no cash, no assets, no investments, no gold jewellery to hawk and two teenaged children to send to college. What do you do when you don't know what to do? We were gripped with fear and hopelessness. Through this dark phase of our Life, I maintained a personal journal, writing notes to our two children, Aashirwad and Aanchal - I was hoping that these notes from my journal would act as a guiding light to our children as they set out on their Life's journeys in some years. Over time, our family felt I must publish some of these personal letters - addressed to our children - in the form of a Book so that others too can benefit from the lessons we have learnt from our Life. Ours is a story of bankruptcy, pennilessness and finding happiness despite our grave financial situation. But others are dealing with their own Life crises in myriad ways - someone's struggling in a relationship, someone's suffering a health situation, someone's career has come crashing or someone's lost a dear one. "Fall Like A Rose Petal" has been written to inspire people to believe that Life can and must be faced squarely - with a smile!
