D.J. Adamson I have very little writer's block. I have been writing every morning for so long, it's usually my characters who wake me up and tell me to get to work.
D.J. Adamson Writing, of course. Spending time with characters I enjoy or fear. Both create an exciting morning.
D.J. Adamson My advice to aspiring writers is to quit aspiring and simply do it. Stay out of the expectations. Becoming a bestseller, which is nice when it happens for some, doesn't come around for everyone. Write because it jazzes your life to do it. Write because you want to leave something of yourself behind. Write for your children, naysayers, hobby, career. Just write. The writing journey will carry you along.
D.J. Adamson My Syfy Mystery Serial's first part is publishing December 2014. I am working on the editing for it. At the same time, I writing the second novel of the Lillian Dove Series. Set to publish in 2015
D.J. Adamson I write for at least two-three hours every day when I am teaching. In the summer and winter break, I pull up to six-eight hours. Writing stories like playing a fine instrument needs to be practiced.
D.J. Adamson Wow, if I could target in to where the ideas come from, I'd be the happiest writer ever. Generally, as with this protagonist in Admit to Murder, the idea came from the character.
