I'm sorry to be seeing this question now, a year later. I've been very ill and haven't been on Goodreads since 2022, I think. I am doing better.
I think you'll get more out of the CHC series if you read the I-Team first because I-Team characters appear in that series.
What did you choose to do?
Sorry again to have missed this.

I've been seriously ill and unable to write. I want his story as much as anyone and hope I can get back to it soon!

Thank you! I'm doing better. I have had surgeries and scans and all manner of tests. I was finally diagnosed with a debilitating autoimmune disease the doctor thinks was triggered by chemo. I am doing better these days — more or less in remission with that illness — and I hope to be writing again soon. Thanks so much for your support.

Thanks for asking!
I'm working on a new series, Wildest Alaska, that will feature Coast Guard heroes and lots of search-and-rescue action. I finished the Colorado High Country series this year with BOUND TO FALL, Sasha's story. I'm also working on Book 4 of the MacKinnon's Rangers series—RECKLESS. It will tell Captain Joseph's story. He's the Mahican warrior who stood by the MacKinnon brothers during the war.
I am working on a concept for an I-Team reboot but it won't feature the original characters except in cameos. There are just too many characters to have them all on the page all the time.

I'm so sorry I'm just seeing this now!
I read my first novel at age 10, I believe. Misty of Chincoteague. While I was reading, I disappeared into another world. I realized right then how magical it was. Somehow the author had crept into my heart, and she stayed there along with her story. I knew right then that that's what I wanted to do.
I was 10 when I told my parents I was going to be an author. And that dream has come true for me.

I am thrilled to know you enjoyed it. I really wanted her to have a story, and I had wanted to go back to Jason Chiago. He had a small role in BREAKING POINT (I-Team series), but readers really loved him. I saw an opportunity there, and so I took it. Thanks for reading and sharing your thoughts!

Gosh, I don't remember. It might have been Kaylea Cross. Does that ring a bell?
Pamela Clare
I am delighted to know you enjoyed SKIN DEEP. I love the West family and wish I lived at the Cimarron.
No, sorry, no virgin heroes.

I'm trying to decide! I had an idea that would bring him to Scarlet Springs. No story ideas for Doc, but... I might revamp the series and move to the DC offices where Javier Corbray runs the operation. And that will open all kinds of doors.

I am already working on the fourth book to the MacKinnon's Rangers series. Set just after the French & Indian War (Seven Years' War), it will tell Joseph's story. A Mahican and friend to the MacKinnon brothers, he will finally get his happy ending. It should be out in 2023.
Pamela Clare
You're right about methanol of course. Samantha was stressed and out of her head a little and got it backwards.
You probably already saw that HARD PURSUIT is out. It came out on Decemeber 15. Sorry I didn't answer this sooner. I had major surgery the day after I finished editing their story, so I've been quite out of it.

Winona, Sasha, and probably Malachi (the ER doc) will get stories eventually. I hope to start Win's story soon.
Pamela Clare
I hope to give Sasha a story. She's so young at the start of the series, so I'm giving her time to get out of her 20s.
Pamela Clare
I'm so glad you love him! I love him, too, and I want very much to give him his own happy ending. Hopefully, I'll be able to get to that this year. :-)

Tantor Audio only bought the North American rights to the series. That's why they're not out in Australia. The one I produced myself — Dead by Midnight — ought to be available there. At this point, I have no intention of producing any additional audiobooks myself, so we'll have to hope that an Australian company picks up my series.
Pamela Clare
I hope so. I might start his book as early as this winter. We'll have to see how things shake out with my other deadlines. I'm glad you've enjoyed the series. I love the characters, too.
Pamela Clare
Congrats on finishing a book! That's a big achievement. My advice is not to have an agent. I'm no longer represented. If you want to publish traditionally, you can get a literary attorney to advise you on the contract for a fraction of the long-term cost of an agent.

It's wonderful to hear from a reader from India.
At the moment, I have no plans for writing historicals, simply because there's not much of a market for them. Writers have to make a living, especially given the impact of theft through piracy. I just can't afford to write books that readers don't buy.
BUT that isn't to say I don't want to write them. I love writing historicals. I hope one day to be able to do it again.

At this point, I don't plan to produce them myself, so an audiobook company would have to pick them up like they did the I-Team. I would love to see them in audiobook format, but there are no plans on the horizon at this point.
