Did the The Secret of Zanzibar ever come out in hard copy? Why not? My 9 year old daughter has been absolutely loving the Song of the Winns series! The Winns have been the perfect "bridge" books to get her from reading very short chapter books into longer novels! We've been getting them from the library so clearly they are popular.

I'm so happy to hear that your daughter has been enjoying the series! Unfortunately, the American publisher chose not to release The Secret of Zanzibar in hard copy. I'm sorry not to have better news for you - especially given the magnitude of the secrets revealed in the final book!

Are you going to write any more historical fiction books? I absolutely love The Peony Lantern and The Raven's WIng

I'm so glad to hear you have enjoyed The Peony Lantern and The Raven's Wing! I'm afraid I have been distracted by other projects lately, so progress has been rather slow when it comes to more historical fiction. But it definitely helps to know that I have interested readers!

Hi Frances. Just wanted to tell you how much my 8 year old daughter Lara is enjoying the Sword Girl series. It's such a terrific and unique premise for a kids book. She was relating to me the story of the siege just now. Brilliant. Best wishes. Matthew Brisbane ?

Are you planning on writing a sequel to "The Raven's Wing"? I really loved it!

Frances Watts I'm so glad to hear you enjoyed The Raven's Wing! I don't have any plans for a sequel at the moment - but I have a brand-new historical novel out this week called The Peony Lantern, set in Japan in 1857.

My 6yo daughter dressed as Tommy for book week this year, and would love to know if there are more stories after the 6th book!?
