I am working on a sequel to the book Urnabhih. This book , the first in the series, is based on the events after the ascension of Chandragupta Maurya to the throne of Magadha and tells the story of the expansion of his empire within the boundaries of what are now India and Pakistan. The next one will follow the adventures of the protagonists Misrakesi and Pushymitra after this and also relate the story of how the bounds of the empire reach Afghanistan.

That's a good question! My trick is music. I write on ancient India and my tastes are classical so my solace is in Hindustani Classical, D V Paluskar. Kishori Amonkar never cease to inspire and I hum the Geeta Govinda as a talisman.
