The cat's yowl woke me from slumber. I sprang from the bed only to feel a cold squish between my toes.

Easy. I'd want to be a member of the Talamasca, that mysterious order in Anne Rice's lore!

My high school best friend ended our friendship with no reason why. It still bothers me to this day.

Hey there! I'm only just seeing this! Yes, eventually I will compile them... I think one more adventure needs to happen, though haha. If you liked that, I've got a gothic horror out on Kindle Vella called Strange Things Happen Everyday and I released a gothic horror story called The House Must Fall as a part of the Haunts and Hellions anthology. Hope to see you in October back at the Library!

Sharing my stories with other folks is my favorite part! I love telling stories and then I dig geeking out with other folks about them after!

Hi Gemma! Yes! Eventually. There are a few more stories I want to tell in the Rock Season world before I get back to the brothers. But they'll be around... For example, if you sign up for my newsletter, you'll get a special code to unlock a special page called B-Sides on my website and there is a story there from the twins' perspective. I'll post more as they come up! Thanks for your question!

My novel Haunted, which was released 11/13/14 was inspired by my trip to New Orleans and the death of my father in 2012. It was a way for me to reexperience something I loved while dealing with the most difficult experience I've ever had.

Music, travelling, hearing stories about artists I like. For example, my novel Teacher, which I plan to release in the spring of 2015, came to me after hearing Jason Ellis talk about his struggles with dyslexia and getting his kids to see the importance of reading when he can't read. I then heard Dave Grohl talk about not getting his diploma. Then I watched a documentary short on Jacoby Shaddix's surgery to remove a nodule from his vocal chord. Scary stuff to have your livelihood threatened by a health issue. Lastly, I have a close friend who is dealing with a debilitating disease and her courage and determination to fight it using alternative means was inspiring. You'll have to read Teacher next Spring to see how it all fits together!

I'm currently working on a novel for NaNoWriMo. It's a follow up to my novel Rock Season, which I plan to release in February. It's called Road Trip and it's been a lot of fun to write. I love the disparity between the characters. It's always fun to corrupt an innocent!

Writer's block comes and goes. I write like a madwoman and then I get stuck. Most of the time I'll lose myself in some books if I'm having block, and when it's time to write, if it's not there, I'll reread stuff I've written and try to pick back up. I also found an app called Brainstormer this summer and it was really fun to use!
