Compelling! It's been a while since I last read a book in this series, but I fell back into Lady Helena's world easily. Great characters, lots of action, a good mystery and a lovely on-going romance. I can't think of a thing I'd change about this boo ...more |

Another lovely story! Loved the characters, the settings, and the plot. Lucien and Pen were great characters on their own and perfect together! Sweet banter! |

3.5 stars I liked the first third of the book more than the rest. I got tied of the vengeful mistress years ago, and the catty deb as well. Some of the sex scenes felt gratuitus. I did like Andrew's family. ...more |

3.75 stars I enjoy this series, and having the troop visit Down Under was a fun idea. Overall I liked the story, but it dragged for me in several places. Merry's reminiscing about past missions and what not slowed the pace for me, and I wanted a bit m ...more |

4.75 stars I read a large print library book. George has been one of my favorite Survivor's Club characters and I had a feeling he'd team up with Dora. I loved the way the story unfolded, enjoyed that characters as a whole, and the setting. I loved tha ...more |

I read a large print library book. Glad I had tissues handy, especially for the last bits of this book. Imogen is a lovely character who has limited her enjoyment of life after a tragedy. Percival is a largely care-free young lord who unbalances Imoge ...more |

I'm going with a 3.5 Star rating. I read a large print library book. Okay, I am a Mary Balogh fan, but I hit my limit for scenes told from one character's POV and then the other. It's a classic technique, but it wore thin in the last two of Ms. Balogh ...more |

The first 3 books - the Oldest City Vampire trilogy - are set in st. Aug. I do adore living here! The cozy mystery series - the Silver Six Crafting Mysteries - are set in southwest Ark. For 3 reasons, but the biggie is that it refused to be set anywhere else.
If you even get back this way, let me know! If you have time, I'd love to buy you coffee or lunch, or whatever you might have time for.
Take good care, and have an amazing week!
Light,
Nancy
