Ánxel Fole, nado en Lugo o 11 de agosto de 1903 e finado na mesma cidade o 9 de maio de 1986, foi un escritor en galego e castelán que cultivou tódolos xéneros literarios (narrativa, poesía, teatro e ensaio), aínda que a súa sona lle vén fundamentalmente dos seus libros de contos, recollidos en catro volumes.
En 1997 foille adicado o Día das Letras Galegas.
