Our outer life must be ordered, how else can we hope to have spiritual order? We must love God, but this must be joined to attention to all our thoughts and impulses. There must be harmony between what we do and our hearts. This can only be achieved when we are watchful over both. So, when we find ourselves being lazy, or impulsive, we must examine the inner movement of our heart and question ourselves like a ruthless attorney.”
