I'm a bizarro author who bounces around the world, most recently in a custom 1985 van. I like dogs (LOVE mine), peanut butter, outside, being the different one that everyone talks a bunch of smack about because they don't usually understand me, and searching for ancient ruins in any forest I find myself.

Booklover Butterfly Sorry I've been so slow to reply, but things have been a bit busy lately.

It looks like Vancouver might have seen the last of the sunshine for awhile. It clouded over today and actually started to rain. I love the rain though, so it's all good to me. Are you still getting nice weather?

There might be a huge international fiction convention in Vancouver. I've never been, so I'm not too sure. Vancouver does have a lot of nifty stuff going on most of the time though.

I take all the changes in the weather as a sign of trouble too. Yes, we might benefit, but it's not worth it when other areas are going to suffer. I just hope things can be fixed before it's too late.

Take care and have a nice evening!

Booklover Butterfly Sounds like RadCon was exciting. I'm happy to hear that the audience participated and things worked out!

It is very much spring at my place today. It's super sunny and 12°C which is about 53°F. I was outside earlier in just a shirt. It was still chilly in the shade, but the sun was lovely. You're right about it feeling more like May.

I went grocery shopping yesterday. They had every single fresh herb except sage! It figures, hey? I ended up just buying some mint. I tried though, haha.

Have a wonderful afternoon/evening depending on when you read this. Bye!

Booklover Butterfly I'm glad to hear you had fun at RadCon! Do you have a favorite moment from it?

Haha yeah, I had a feeling you were in the same region as I was. Have you been watching the Olympics at all? I'm not a sports person, but even I've caught a few moments of it.

No, I haven't gotten a hold of any sage yet. I haven't been grocery shopping yet. I'm glad to hear the sage you used in your soup worked well. I love soup. I actually had a delicious vegetable soup a few days back. I eat a lot more soup now that I'm a vegetarian than I used to. It's a great way to get in a lot of veggies.

Have a wonderful Tuesday!

Booklover Butterfly That's an excellent suggestion for trying sage tea. If I like it, I could then plant some in my garden. Flowers are coming up here too. It's bizarre how everything thinks it's spring already. Do you live in the north west?

Have a great weekend!

Booklover Butterfly Yeah, you will. It took me awhile to figure out what I was doing, but it all came together eventually.

Thanks again for the offer of recommendations. I'll be taking you up on that in the near future.

Spring can't come soon enough, hey? I know grocery stores have fresh mint, but I meant garden fresh. It’s probably all in my head, but it tastes better from the garden. It actually grows through the fence from my neighbor's yard, haha. Technically I'm not even using my own mint, but once it's on my property I feel like it's mine for the taking.

How are you enjoying your current read?

Booklover Butterfly Hahaha, no worries. I'm sure you'll have things all figured out in no time. When did you join Goodreads?

Facebook and Twitter are both websites I've never joined. I'm probably the last person alive who has managed to resist. That's nifty that you have differently colored versions of the same picture for different websites.

Hahaha, poor kid. I hope he was dirty because he wanted to be, not because he wasn't looked after and had no choice. LOL! I love the idea of a drunken Stellar's Jay. That's hilarious. You must be very creative.

Yes, bizarro does seem like it would be freeing as a writer because what limits are there in the genre? It seems like the possibilities are endless. So far, I definitely agree that it's pure fun and entertainment as a reader. As I read more in the Bizarro Starter Kit, I'll definitely let you know my tastes. Thanks for the recommendations! I've made note of all of those authors so I can check out their work. Three of them have stories in the book I'm reading, so I'm even more excited to get to their work now. I felt like I needed to broaden my reading horizons, and bizarro seems like it will deliver refreshing ideas that are often out of my "comfort zone", not that it makes me uncomfortable. You know what I mean, haha. It takes a lot to make me uncomfortable with regards to books.

That's a great idea about getting a tea bush! I bet tea is a million times better when it's that fresh. I'm definitely going to try sage tea now when I get the opportunity. I still have a little pure honey in my tea in the mornings because I always feel like something sweet, but I drink it like you do later in the day.

Enjoy your jasmine green tea!

Booklover Butterfly You're very quick to leave a comment. I was just going to reply to your comment in the friend request, but it looks like you are far speedier than I am.

Thanks for the compliment of my eye! It always makes me smile when people say nice things like that about my avatar because it's actually a picture of my eye. I have about 50 different versions of it that I made by playing around with color in Photoshop.

May I ask why you called the kid in your building Dirty? Was that a random name or did he enjoy playing in dirt or something? Yes, the book I'm reading is dirty for a whole different reason, haha.

I'm brand new to the Bizarro genre, but I very much enjoy random friends. I would have accepted your request regardless of you writing in the bizarro genre, but that is very cool. =) Now I know who to ask for bizarro reading recommendations!

As for my favorite tea, I've always been a green tea fan. Right now I actually have a cup of jasmine green tea. My absolute favorite (which is always changing) would probably be Tazo Zen green tea because of the spearmint and lemongrass or maybe Moroccan mint green tea. I like how refreshing mint is, and I can't wait until I have fresh mint to add. Sage tea sounds yummy, but I have honestly never had any. I'm going to have to try some!
