Continuum — a short story

Realms of WarContinuum originally appeared in Realms of War (which is now long out of print, never made it into ebook format, and is therefore impossible to find).  It’s an important bridge story between the events of Shadowstorm and Shadowrealm, books two and three of The Twilight War, and also heralds the events of The Godborn, so I thought I’d share it to make it easy for those reading the Cale stories to h

“She stared up at Vader, unafraid."I hate you and everything you stand for" she said."But when I murdered, I murdered out of love"

Vader raised his blade, his breathing loud and steady. When he spoke, his voice was as deep and hollow as a funeral gong.
"I know precisely what you mean" he said and slashed.”
Paul S. Kemp, Lords of the Sith

“A memory stabbed him, as sharp as a blade. He’d floated alone in an escape pod over Ryloth once, spinning high over its surface, after crashing a cruiser into a droid control ship. Another name bobbed up and broke the surface of the sea of memory. Ahsoka. He’d called her “Snips” sometimes. He pushed the errant recollection aside and focused on his task.”
Paul S. Kemp, Lords of the Sith

“Yap, yap little dog.”

Tyson Moore Paul,
first off thank you for all of you’re amazing works I’ve read so far, honestly I thought I would have a hard time finding an author that I enjoyed reading as much as I have R.A. Salvatore. because alot of the books from the realms are about wizards…. thats just not my thing. and well you blew me away! I’ve read eveything you have done that involves Erevis Cale and couldnt get enough, Jak Fleet and Drasek Riven are two of the most memorable characters I have ever come accross, I would love more back story on Riven! I’m currently reading the hammer and the blade and cant put it down.
I’ve never read anything from star wars would I enjoy it?
