The Authorship of the Urantia Book was left Anonymous. It came about between 1925 and its publication on October 12, 1955. Those involved in its eventual publication were Dr. William S. Sadler (William Samuel Sadler) his wife Dr. Lena K. Sadler (Lena Kellogg), and their son William Samuel ("Bill") Sadler Jr. The Sadlers formed a group known as the Forum in 1925. The papers were said to have been received from Celestial Beings as a result of asking questions, gathered in the Forum. An anonymous person known as the "contact personality" or "sleeping subject" allegedly would speak and later write while in some kind of extraordinary trance or unconscious state.
