Weaving a story with Anansi
I was so inspired by Neil Gaiman's novel, Anansi Boys, that I needed to write about this trickster myself.

Jackie smiles at Kyo's wisdom, putting his potential replacement to the test.
Kame takes a second to think it over. She answers confidently, like a leader. "I would try to negotiate a way to absorb them into our culture and offer them a way to be happy without leaving. Keeping the Nation secret is the top priority of the people. This would suit both sides."
Kyo smiles. Negotiations rarely work that way. "And if they refuse?"
Kame replies quickly. "The nail that sticks out gets hammered down.”
