The second of the mistborn series. I was happy with the development of the plot line: it became multi-linear. There were more stories to explore rather than just the protagonist’s. New characters were introduced and their pov given as well. However, ...more

"About 80% through this book (after the Battle of Darkness), I needed a nap desperately. In the nap, I dreamed extremely troubling dreams, filled with the feeling of despair and the knowledge that humanity would die. Just felt like explaining the mood" Read more of this review »

Continuing the series, I was disappointed in the beginning when a few characters from the first book were not returning back and were just mentioned in passing. It took me some time to adjust with plenty of new characters, each having a different sto ...more

"Well, that was absolutely insane. Please excuse me while I go pick my jaw off of the floor.

I read Sci-Fi after a long time. And this did not disappoint. The author has cleverly employed the tactics of hook and bait. Although I felt some portions were hard to understand due to the sophisticated lingo of physics that was used, the overall me ...more
Aditya Singh and 1 other person liked Ann's review of Misery:
Misery by Stephen King
" Annie are you okay, Annie?
The book did live up to its hype and was one of those 'make you grit your teeth' and 'look away from the pages' kind of book. Paul's inner monologues were the most enjoyable parts for me; his imagination, use of metaphors " Read more of this review »
