Neil Gaiman
“Gods, religions and national boundaries are absolutely imaginary. They don't tend to exist. As soon as you pull back half a mile and look down at the Earth there are no national boundaries. There aren't even national boundaries when you get down and walk around. They're just imaginary lines we draw on maps. I just get fascinated by people who assume that things that are imaginary have no relevance to their lives.”

Roxy Winter 2014-2015 COYER Sign Ups

I’m so excited to join in for Winter 2014-2015 COYER, hosted by Berls @ http://fantasyismorefun.com/ and Michelle @ http://becausereading.com/. It runs from December 20th 2014 – March 6th 2015 and you can http://fantasyismorefun.com/2014/11/w... until January 25th! Go check out the details and if you do sign up, be sure to indicate that I sent you on the linky, where it says “Who referred you?” so I can win $5 to Amazon!

This challenge is dedicated to reading audiobooks and e-books that are free or nearly free. I have a ridiculous amount of cheap e-books ($2.99 or less) on my Kindle, so I will be focusing on those. I have been challenging myself to read my older books (especially my Kindle books) anyway, so hopefully this will help with that goal.

So, what do you say? Will you join me? Don’t forget to list me when you http://fantasyismorefun.com/2014/11/w...!

Thank you for accepting. It looks like you have a really interesting and unique taste profile. I don't see many readers who are as picky about books as I am, and you seem to be one the few...That's a compliment, by the way. =P Lol!

You're welcome! We have a lot of books in common! I'm not very far into The Know-it-All," but I loved "The Year of Living Biblically" which he also wrote. If you haven't read it yet, I highly recommend it.

You're welcome! We have a lot of books in common! I read The Year of Living Biblically a couple years ago, and absolutely loved it. It was hilarious! So when Know it All was on sale, I snatched it up! A lot of people find him annoying, but I think that's because his style of humor is very honest. You should definitely read The Year of Living Biblically if you haven't already.

Roxy Rachel wrote: "hey just wondered how your reading was coming along? :)"

Really well, thanks for asking! I had originally planned to read 113 books this year, which I quickly realized I wasn't going to accomplish this year. There was too much going on. For one thing, I am getting married this September-so excited! =D I have been wanting to read a lot of big books for the past year or two (especially since I started reading The Song of Ice and Fire series), but have been afraid that I wouldn't meet my yearly goal if I read too many big books. Because of that, I have decided to make my reading goal for next year a number of pages goal, instead of a number of books goal. I haven't decided exactly how many pages I should make my goal, and what's realistic. But for example, I have been reading roughly 100 books for the past couple of years. Last year I read nearly 32000 pages and read 103 books. I might make my goal 35,000 pages for next year, but only read 60 or 70 books, because I will be reading a lot more big books. I think I might also mix it up with graphic novels though, because I haven't really read any, and there are a ton that sound really interesting to me. Anyhoo, after that long explanation, how is your reading going? Lol!

The Mortal Instruments Series is amazing. Once upon a time, Twilight was my favorite when I read it back in 2006, before it became insanely popular and went to a whole other level. Kind of like back in the day when the Beatles had just become mega popular and there were all these screaming fans trying to get a lock of John, Paul, George or Ringo's hair. Then it was just like "Really? I don't think it's about the music anymore..." Anyway, back on topic. Haha. Twilight is still one of my favorites, but Mortal Instruments superceeded it for me, especially since it's not insanely popular...yet. *cringes* I can't wait for her to write the Infernal Devices Series. I think the first one is called Clockwork Prince. I try not to obsess over it too much, since I have to wait so long for it to come out. =P In the meantime, I recently read Soulless by Gail Carriger which is awesome, so if you haven't read that yet, you should! It is made of steampunk awesomeness. =D

Brigid ✩ Hi! Thanks for the add :) I see you're a Mortal Instruments fan. Yaaay :D ttyl!
