DeeDee Andrews worked for many years in Marketing and Graphic Design for a manufacturing company. She created catalogs and advertisements that made industrial widgets and gizmos look cool. Through marketing she was given the opportunity to travel the world. DeeDee found herself living in Brussels, Belgium at that important time in history when the Berlin Wall came down and the Gulf War began. There’s food for future blogs.
Fast forward and she found herself in the United States, now married with twin boys. After their twins had too much fun in first grade and didn’t learn anything, DeeDee and her husband decided to home-school. During that 7 year home-schooling period the “Domino Park Comics” were born. Drawing on

I'd love to see your blog in comic strip style. Such fun.

Loretta Hey, Dee Dee,
I just added your comic to listopia. Here's the link if anyone would like to vote for it: https://www.goodreads.com/list/show/5...

Oops, looks like I already added it to some other lists. Never mind. One extra won't hurt. Hope I didn't duplicate. I'll have to go check now. Ooops! Should have read down here, first.

DeeDee Andrews I'm going to start posting to my blog in comic strip style. I actually just figured out how to do it, tonight. The first one is just a test. But, I have a really great strip in my head that I can now devote some time to creating. What do you think? Do you want to see comic strips on Goodreads?

Wow, Thanks, Loretta. I hadn't found listopia, yet. But, it looks like you picked exactly the correct list!

message 43: by Loretta

Loretta I just added your comics to a list on listopia, by the way. I had added mine on some, and voted for a couple of other books and wondered if yours were on there at all. I couldn't find them on the lists I looked at, although there are so many different lists that looking for something specific is like trying to find a needle in a haystack. Anyway, this is the list I added them too: http://www.goodreads.com/list/show/27...

They have slipped neatly into position 45 amd 49, so if you could get a couple more votes it would probably push them up the lists nicely. :)

All is well. I just have too many kids running loose in my house, this summer. I hate to say it, but I'm looking forward to the first day of school! I'm planning a lot of comic strips for the fall! At least the kids inspire the crazy in me!
I hope all is well with you!

Nenia Campbell Wow! Thank you so much for your patronage! That's absolutely lovely to know. I try not to advertise too much, since I know a lot of people are annoyed by overly self-promoting authors, but on the other hand I've had people complain that I did not post ENOUGH about my sales and I hate to have people miss out, so yeah. It's a thin line. :P I hope you enjoy them. And if you don't, well, that's okay too! ^_^

I had to look up the word "nefarious" as it hasn't been in my daily vocab. although I think I'll be adding it. I even used a real dictionary, as I still have one of those books and I remember how to use it. So now I think I will be calling you "the Thesaurus-Brain"

Calvin and the Far Side are from a time long ago when people bought papers just to read the comics. I know I did. I never could figure out why they didn't just print them on the front page.

Actually, I'm new to Goodreads and I'm going through the lists and finding old books that I remember and loved, or loved reading to my kids! So those are ending up on my read list.
I read just about anything. When I search for a book on Amazon to read for fun, I search Mystery, humor, romance. I enjoy YA, and adult fiction. I admit I really like vampires and witches. "You're a wizard, Harry!"
I am a cartoonist- but I'm not fond of super heroes. I write in a style similar to newspaper comic strips - with longer chapters.

Flareen Hi there! :)

I must confess - your Friend request made me laugh haha
