Bold, Breathtaking, Badass Romance.

When she’s not pretending to be a rockstar with purple hair, Heather Novak can be found crafting LGBTQ+ romances with disability representation. She’s also a weekly columnist for Hypoparathyroidism News, where she talks about life with her rare disease. Heather’s work as an award-winning author and advocate earned her a spot on BEQ Magazine’s 40 LGBTQ+ Leaders Under Forty list in 2021.

Heather is full of bisexual glitter, is pretty sure her left arm is haunted, and collects multiple editions of her favorite books. She lives in southeast Michigan with Mr. Heather and a collection of musical instruments and mobility aids.

Had a wonderful time reading this! Took me back 20 years to when I worked in film. Such a fun story, great cast of characters, loved the demi rep!

Loved getting lost in this story!

Kelly’s gift is writing books that weave together strong Black characters, compelling storylines, sizzling romance, and complicated family dynamics into a beautiful tapestry! She’s a one-click author for me.

More of Heather's books…
John Green
“It's just that most really good-looking people are stupid, so I exceed expectations.'
'Right, it's primarily his hotness,' I said.
'It can be sort of blinding,' he said.
'It actually did blind our friend Isaac,' I said.
'Terrible tragedy, that. But can I help my own deadly beauty?'
'You cannot.'
'It is my burden, this beautiful face.'
'Not to mention your body.'
'Seriously, don't even get me started on my hot bod. You don't want to see me naked, Dave. Seeing me naked actually took Hazel Grace's breath away,' he said, nodding toward the oxygen tank.”
John Green, The Fault in Our Stars

Dylan Thomas
“I love you so much I’ll never be able to tell you; I’m frightened to tell you. I can always feel your heart. Dance tunes are always right: I love you body and soul: —and I suppose body means that I want to touch you and be in bed with you, and i suppose soul means that i can hear you and see you and love you in every single, single thing in the whole world asleep or awake”
Dylan Thomas

Demetri Martin
“I like video games, but they're really violent. I'd like to play a video game where you help the people who were shot in all the other games. It'd be called 'Really Busy Hospital.”
Demetri Martin

Eleanor Roosevelt
“No one won the last war, and no one will win the next war.”
Eleanor Roosevelt, The Wisdom Of Eleanor Roosevelt

Hunter S. Thompson
“Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside in a cloud of smoke, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming "Wow! What a Ride!”
Hunter S. Thompson, The Proud Highway: Saga of a Desperate Southern Gentleman, 1955-1967
